Most watches are now water-resistant, which means they can be submerged in water to a predetermined extent. The stated water resistance is based on a new watch in laboratory conditions. As your watch ages and experiences the rigours of daily life, it will slowly start to lose some of its resistance to water.
Water coming into contact with the movement of a watch is the worst thing that can happen to your watch which is why we advise that you always work well within the parameters of the manufacturer’s recommendations and have your watch tested at least once a year
At Tic Toc Man we can pressure test your watch whilst you wait and we can usually reseal your watch within a week, subject to stock availability.
